The British Summer has had its usual effect upon Silverstone
and we are set for a rain sodden Friday practice. With no wet weather practices
run, and the team’s running strategy hard to note, finding the winners of Practice
1 is likely to be hard but looking at the results this season, the best teams
for this task are usually Red Bull, Mercedes, Ferrari and Mclaren, with the
latter having the best record by far. At a home GP it’s tempting to back
McLaren (good in w in some way and Hamilton has always been there or thereabouts but Red
Bull have won Friday practice for two of the last 3 years and at 9/4 that makes
some appeal even with the water flying around, with Webber too big a price at
14/1 as the Racing Post have already said this morning.
